Paradise RV Resort Wins “Mega Park of the Year” Award from the Arizona Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds

Sun City, Ariz., June 12, 2017 – Paradise RV Resort has won the Mega Park of the Year Award from the Arizona Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds.

The award is given annually to parks that deliver extraordinary guest experiences as a result of all-around excellence in operations, professionalism, marketing, customer service and industry involvement.

Paradise RV Resort is a 55-and-over resort affiliated with Chicago-based Equity LifeStyle Properties, which owns and operates RV resorts and manufactured home communities across the Sunbelt. Paradise RV Resort has 949 sites, including 740 park model RVs, 15 of which are park model rentals.

“We are very pleased to receive this recognition,” said Scott Mathews, General Manager of the resort, which has been making numerous improvements in recent years.

The park recently resurfaced and double striped its tennis courts so they can double as pickleball courts. The park now has six pickleball courts to accommodate the pickleball enthusiasts who comprise its fastest growing club.

“The wood shop has been reorganized to improve flow and space and is one of the nicest in the area,” Mathews said, “while the lawn bowling greens are continually updated by replacing any marginal green along with annual maintenance. Our lapidary and jewelry club have added new equipment and the stained glass club has a new kiln. Our eight shuffleboard courts have been resurfaced and two concrete curling courts have been added.”

The resort is also improving the appearance of the grounds.

“We contracted with a new landscaping company in 2016 and they are doing a great job of maintaining the grass and the hundreds of trees that run throughout the resort,” Mathews said, adding, “The fountain area at the front of the resort has an updated look over 2015 and the entire complex has been repainted, while our new lobby furniture gives the resort a more contemporary look.”

The park has also installed new paver sidewalks around common area buildings, so guests can walk directly from their cars to the sidewalks without having to walk around their vehicles. New decorative letters have also been installed on the outer and inner walls of the complex so that guests can quickly identify the locations of the showers, the fitness area and other amenities.

More improvements are planned for this summer, including the installation fo additional walkways and other improvement to outdoor sitting areas.

“The fountains at the front of the complex will be upgraded and additional seating spaces will be added with comfortable furniture and fire tables,” Mathews said. “We are anticipating some upgrades in the pool area. Small touches will continue to be added like accent painting, decorative pottery and the little thoughtful touches that let our owners and guests know we care and try to look at the resort through their eyes.”

The park is also planning to install 39 new washers and 38 new dryer sin its laundromat that accept both coins and credit or debit cards. New tables for folding clothes and comfortable seating will be provided along with a fresh coat of paint in the laundromat area.
