Many Arizona Campgrounds Now Offer Rental Accommodations

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz, May 2014 – Travelers can often savor the natural sights and sounds of Northern Arizona in campgrounds, even if they don’t have an RV or tent.

“That’s because growing numbers of campgrounds offer furnished rental accommodations,” said Jo Ann Mickelson, executive director of the Arizona Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds.

The association hosts GoCampingInArizona.com, a statewide travel planning website that lists privately owned and operated campgrounds throughout the Grand Canyon State.

“We have a detailed search function on GoCampingInArizona.com that enables you to search for campgrounds that have rental accommodations and other special amenities, such as Wi-Fi service or fitness rooms,” Mickelson said.

Here is a sampling of campgrounds across Northern Arizona that offer rental accommodations:

  • Arizona High Country Campground, Clay Springs: This park has a park model and a 32-foot Durango fifth wheel for rent.
  • Flagstaff / Grand Canyon KOA, Flagstaff: This campground’s rental accommodations include cabins and tipis.
  • Kaibab Camper Village, Jacob Lake: This park, which is located near the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, has a cabin room for rent.
  • Mogollon RV Park, Forest Lake: A park model cabin is available for rent at this park.
